Calm – Intern Testing

Has the lull of my depression been broken? Oh yes, it has. I don’t exactly know why, but I suspect it has something to do with my being withdrawn (forcefully) from my drawing class. Something about that class was just putting me on edge. I miss the class, and it frustrates me that I wasn’t able to make it on time enough to keep it with 4 days left in the quarter. FOUR DAYS! Bah, I’ll deal with it all on Monday.

Anywho, back to storyline, Intern 2.0 (Kin) has been fighting Alex in the basement gym of Rarnar Industries (Kin “The Machine” Ong vs. Alex “The Dragon” Wu) to test out the biomechanical enhancements. This fight is being mirrored, as webcomic canon, within the forums. Kin, being played by his real life inspiration (whom is also named Kin), has yet to post in response to Alex because Real Kin is preparing for his own real world fight in about three weeks. I’ll just wait patiently for him to respond, and then start poking him incessantly on Facebook or through friends on Twitter closer to him.

When I have these lulls, I picture my characters all sitting in a break room somewhere, waiting for the “director” to call them back to their “set” and resume the world of the webcomic. It’s a funny concept. Or, concept #2, they continue their lives and everything I draw is just a snapshot of some moment in their world.

So…I’m building up to the fight, which won’t be for a while because I’m not happy with the poses thus far and damned if I can actually draw Anubis’ stupid head. But, I was pleased mostly with how I-2.0 was drawn in this one and the blood spatter.

The next one should feature continued adventures of gayness with Lee and his fag-hag friends. Including introduction of Dawn, whom you’ve only seen thus far in the redesigned header. Also, Anubis is undergoing a redesign as well, and should be unveiled soon. No hints on what’s changing though!

Oh! And Real Kin doesn’t have the 8-pack going, but he is pretty fit anyway. I’d bet the 8 pack would be cumbersome for him. Although, bioenhancement tends to cause the body to bulk up anyway. I suspect it’s the biological body’s only way of counteracting the slight addition of weight from the biomechanical parts.
