Lee’s off fighting Anubis, but that doesn’t mean that Alex doesn’t have to go to work still. Nor does it mean that his new coworker, Anthro Alex (Aleksey), should wait in the lobby for him to wake up. Why wait there for his motorcycle rideshare buddy when you can wait in the kitchen with a plethora of (evil) muffins that the fenine puppy clones keep bringing?

And when the puppies wanna be fed, they’ll just stare at you until you wake up. Or lick you. Or sniff you. Cuz they’re silly.

This is a guest comic I had drawn way back when for Armando Valenzuela of Atomic Laundromat, but he hasn’t used it yet.

This is Bob’s duck and Fix having a playdate in a box, floating somewhere over the island of Manhattan. With Alex and David in the last panel.

So, I’ve decided to use it as my own filler until I can get to my scanner and computer. It’s under a mountain of mail and clean laundry, and I’m still recovering from my bronchitis upset of last week. I’m down to coughing to the point that my throat feels like it’s going to collapse in on itself.

But, I’ve redrawn the next comic and decided to just use what I have already scanned and then tie up this arc in a very eccentricity type of way so I can get into the next arc.

I’m in my last few weeks of the fall quarter, so I’m in a hectic school-first, work-second, comic-whenever mode. So, Jim McGee of Area 51 Comics has rescued me from a moment of intense action that is drawn but not colored, and I’m nowhere near touching it.

I love Adam’s hand in this one. Anywho, GoDaddy–who provides my hosting–has been progressively slowing down on its access to my SQL server and website as a whole resulting in five points of complete downtime in the past three days. Pingdom sends me a nice YOUR SITE IS DOWN e-mail when it happens. Since I’m paying for hosting, I’m gonna hop onto tech support and demand to know what is going on.

No doubt, some idiot on the shared hosting decided to run a database operation that is hogging CPU usage on that particular stack and in turn shutting down all of the sites on that particular server. Hopefully, it’s remedied soon.

Adam Smithee of Apple Valley webcomics saves me this week by providing a very funny look into the awesomeness that is Adam Rarnar.

I laughed. In fact, I’m still laughing while I write this out. I love other artists’ interpretations of my sick and twisted world. The fact is, Adam Rarnar is that awesome and I am surprised more interns don’t perish by being around him.

But, that’s why they’re in cryo-storage, right? To replace the fallen many.

Also, I’m working on a character page, but here’s the reason why I’m so behind:
1) I work NFL Sundays at NFL.com.
2) I go to school twice a week for four hours each + associated homework / study time.
3) I work Blockbuster Corporate five to six days a week (except Sundays, that’s NFL time).
4) I workout for at minimum two hours on Saturday.
5) I have to sleep, eat, homework, comic during that time. This allotted time is small and BUSY!

Hence, comic falls behind and I *desperately* need guest comic peoples. As such, I am really working on getting the character pages done so that peeps have somewhat quick reference without reading the extremely odd manifestation that is my comic.

An awesome Friday the 13th guest comic from Armando Valenzuela of Atomic Laundromat. I love his comic strips and his drawing ability for an IT Pro is just awesome. Far beyond my own. Well, I could draw the same, but I don’t spend as much time as I should on my craft. It’s changing though, because I like using the Rapidograph.

Anyway, seems Alex (prior to leaving Rarnar Industries for Ascension Enterprises) is being bugged by Fix to play with throwing a stick. Normally, Alex would play with Fix. But, they live in New York where sticks aren’t readily available. That hasn’t stopped Fix from teleporting somewhere to acquire a stick. Even if it’s not really a stick. At least it’s not a muffin this time.

So, go visit Atomic Laundromat (which is also available en español latino) and have fun reading about the adventures of Bob, the giant washing machine robot and his duck. Only cuz they’re my favorites.

I should be on-track with story by end of this week. Since Pennies will also be born this month!
