Alex has to elongate his name to Alexander because he feels he needs to assert his authority a bit more. I mean, it is Alexander, but he felt Alex was too childish. Future references will be "Alex" on the website tags, but it'll still be Alexander in future reference to him within dialogue in the comic.

I have issues. Well, not really. I'll take subscriptions to my issues, though.
